Yes, to some extent, they are. Those of who have been using the Mac operating system for many years do not need to be convinced of its benefits, and many new converts say they wish they had made the switch earlier. But the old "chicken and egg" barrier remains; its tough to switch when there isn't a lot of compatible software out there. Yet, there needs to be a very large number of Mac users in ham radio to encourage developers to offer more cool new Mac-based software products for ham radio. The more we support our infrastructure, the stronger our hobby will be .. and we should all benefit from that.
